Well we had transfers and now I am with the famous Sister Pugmire! :) I like to sing to her in the morning and tell her how wise she really is haha! She's so insightful!! :D We were bestfriends since day 1 we were put together I love her so much already and am so ready to have an amazing transfer with her! And finally the greatest month of all has approached us her in Nauvoo! We started Pageant! Which means we are basically running around all day long!! AHHHH, but I mean at least we get a good work out haha! :P We get the opportunity to talk to people before and after the pageant and see what they thought of it and how it influenced them! There are two pageants! One is the Nauvoo pageant which tells the most amazing story about Nauvoo and all the things that the saints went through! And than the second pageant is called the British Pageant and it talks all about early apostles and missionaries who leave American to Preach the gospel in Great Britain and England! :) (So of course we love watching the British Pageant because it is all about Missionary work woohoo!!) The Nauvoo Pageant always just makes me sob because the saints gave up so much and literally left everything behind that they had! We have so much because of them and I feel so fortunate to be serving in such an amazing place! The first night that Sister Pugmire and I were together we were on Pageant grounds and we met this girl named Patty and she had told us how she was thinking about serving a mission, but wasn't sure if that was the right path for her. We told her that the Pageant she would be watching tonight was all about Missionary Work and that she should keep a prayer in her heart and ask God what he wanted her to do! We finished up our conversation and headed back towards the car so that we could head to the Visitor Center to do Teaching Center and talk to people who want to learn more about the gospel online or over the phone! So we went about our regular activity and finished the day! The next night that we were at Pageant grounds we actually were already done with the day and were heading back to the Visitors center once again, but as we were walking away Patty comes running towards us! She got really excited and she told us how she said a prayer in her heart before she had watched Pageant that night and she felt the spirit so strongly! She said that she went to Carthage Jail and her youth group had a testimony meeting while they were in the Martyrdom Room (where Joseph Smith was killed) and that the spirit told her that the church was true! How amazing is that?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! SHE GOT AN ANSWER TO HER PRAYERS YAYYYYY!!!!! This is literally like the most exciting thing of her life! It was so amazing to be able to see such a beautiful miracle in front of our eyes! She found out that the church is true! Nauvoo has it's tender mercies everywhere! :))) Such an amazing moment! WE LOVE PATTY!!! :)

Sister Pugmire and I talk about suffering alot and how suffering literally binds two people together! It is the biggest thing that makes people so connected to eachother! True love is loving people despite all of the things that we do wrong in this life. If you loved a perfect person it would be so easy for us, but when we decide to love people with all of their imperfections... NOW THAT IS TRUE LOVE! And when we love people we sacrifice for them! If you think about the perfect idea of love and suffering and sacrifice. I think of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father literally sent his perfect son here on this earth do die for people who are sinners. People who make mistakes every single day, but He didn't send them here on this earth just for any reason, but he sent him here on this earth because he LOVES US! And when we love we sacrifice!! Heavenly Father literally loved us so perfectly that he was willing to sacrifice his perfect son who never hurt anyone or ever made any mistakes. And even when we make mistakes god never looks at us any differently. He's sad because he has to see us suffer, but he will always love us! ALWAYS! I realized this week that when things get hard that no one knows how we feel so perfectly accept for Jesus Christ! And it's meant to be that way. Christ suffered so that we would never have to feel alone! He suffers with us! He weeps with us! He crys tears of Joy when we cry tears of Joy! I love Jesus Christ with all of my heart. The atonement is real! And Jesus will LITERALLY CARRY YOU! If you let him! <3 I love Jesus And I know he loves all of us so dearly! That's why the saints left Nauvoo knowing they would face tons of trials and heartaches, but they knew that Jesus Would help them! I'm grateful for trials because we can have peace at mind that even when things get hard and seem unbearable that Jesus Will help us! :) How blessed we are to suffer. Because when we suffer we literally turn to Jesus and than he shows us how to suffer with others and how to help them! :) I know that he lives! I love this gospel! Life is so good (even when it's hard) It's beautiful! And you're all beautiful! :) I hope all of you had a really good week! Sacrifice is love<3 No wonder our Parents sacrifice so much for us! :) (Thanks Family <3) :) :) :)

With lots of Love and Tears and Giggles and Happiness and Weirdness!!!

Sister Chapman :) :) :)

I wish That I could send this email in Pink! :( Sadness!!!!!! </3

Oh and the Weirdest thing that happened this week was that I spilled rice all over our room haha whooops OH AND a lady told me that I should marry her son after I got off my mission lol. Missions are funnnnnnnnnyyyyy things lol! Okay Bye :)

Not too much happened that was super exciting in Nauvoo this week accept the fact that we are teaching someone on teaching center ( which is online proselyting) and he is getting baptized in a week!!! His name is David and he is amazing!!!! We are seriously so excited for him! :)

We had commemoration on June 27 for the Prophet Joseph Smith who was Martyred. It was amazing too see so many people come to Carthage jail to honor the prophet Joseph Smith! One of our favorite quotes that we say here in Nauvoo is.... Without Heavenly Father we wouldn't be here, without Jesus Christ it wouldn't matter, and without Joseph Smith... WE WOULDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT!!! Isn't that amazing! I love the gospel!!!! :) It's just soo good!!!

My companion is teaching me a lot about Meditation lol and sometimes If I study to hard or just overthink she always just like "meditate Sister Chapman meditate" Lol she's so funny! :)

This week I thought alot about loving others. That love a is a gift that is free. We came into this earth with Heavenly Father already loving us for who we are. no conditions. he loved all of his sinners perfectly. Every single one of us. We never earned his love. It was simply always there. and it got me thinking about missionary work and just about life in general. Maybe it's not necessarily about fixing every single person that we meet ( unless we are fixing ourselves) Maybe....it's about loving them perfectly for who they are. :) It's all about Love. Because heavenly father let his perfect son be crucified...his perfect son!!!! And we are sinners!!! How much love and compassion is that! I cannot even fathom it! It is so perfect and so real. And so I don't even know if I'm making sense, but I just thought alot about love this week! This whole life is about love. When we learn to listen to other with love and to love them for how God sees them to be. We will know how to help them because it comes from LOVE! And love is the secret to life!! :) And another thing I learned was that sometimes we have to break so that god can shape us into who he wants us to be :)

Well Hello,
It's weird how we start to slowly turn into our companions hahaha. I didn't realize how much I learned from Sister Nelson untill I became companions with Sister Uata! :)

OH AND HAPPY LATE FATHERS DAY TO ALL THE FATHERS!!! (and mothers who have been fathers as well) :)

This week THE POWER WENT OUT IN OLD TOWN NAUVOO!!!! Can you believe that?!?! Oh my gosh! Sister Uata and I both walked into our little George Laub home and try to flick on the switch around 9 so that we could weekly plan and to our surpise they didn't turn on!!! Which means.... the fridge went out and our freezer...( which broke my heart because I really was excited to drink a cold Dr.Pepper) haha :) But that's okay! We had no idea what to do so we called our STLS and we realized that all of the power here in Nauvoo had gone out! So we ended up doing our weekly planning in our car because Nauvoo is in the middle of nowhere and has absolutely no lights outside so our house was completely pitch black dark :P D: Sister Uata was braceD and was prepared to take a nice cold shower, but Heavenly Father blessed us and gave us warm water yayyy!!!! :) It's also extremely humid so the AC wasn't working either!!! It was like 90 degrees in our house!!! And that was when the amazing flashlights that my amazing Aunt sent me worked for us!!!! Talk about trying to brush your teeth and find your bed when you can't even see anything!!! HAHA!!! :P but it really got me thinking about the Saints. I realized how much we really take things for granted these days because we never have the opportunity to be creative and use our brains to survive, we just push the light switch on and there we there's energy!!! So I prayed and repented for ever being ungrateful for running water and lights and air conditioning that work. The Saints didn't have hardly anything, but they were so very happy because they had the gospel and their families. :) SO THAT WAS QUITE AN ADVENTURE! And than eventually the lights came back on around 3 in the morning hahah! But good growing experience right?! :)

On the Sabbath Sister Pugmire who is so profound and Sister Lyyn who is the funniest human being ever spoke in the mission ward! :) Sister Pugmire made a comment about our families and how Heavenly Father literally put us in imperfect families so that we could love perfectly. And that is so true!!! But the thing is it doesn't even stop there!! We have the opportunity to look outside and see everyone and Heavenly Fathers children! All of our dear Brothers and Sisters! :) So if you look at it that way.... we are all responsible for Helping eachother when we are weak! and making sure that no one gets left behind! :) EVER:) Because even when we are dumb in this life Christ never abandons us! Sometimes we just choose to leave him, but he can heal us if we choose to let him heal us! (Sorry if I sound preachy....we have the opportunity to testify alot here in Nauvoo lol so bear with me!) :) But anyway I thought that was a really amazing thought and it's true! Elder Schweitzer came and spoke to us a few weeks ago to the whole mission and told us that we Nauvoo has reached its purpose, but it hasn't fulfilled it's potential! He said we should look at everyone who comes to nauvoo as the lost sheep and go and FIND THEM!!!!

This week we were serving in the Brigham young home and we had the opportunity to give a tour to a young mother and her son! When we were in the Council room where Brigham and the 12 apostles would council She confessed that her husband and his dad had passed away about 8 years ago. We went outside after the tour to take a picture of both of them outside of the home and a new tour started to approach the home! Just as the new family had gotten there, the mother and son had slowly started to walk away! Just as we were about to start the new tour for the new family the spirit told me to go and follow the son and the mother! So I did. When I had reached both the Mother and the son I was overwhelmed with tears in my eyes. I was able to bear my testimony about the plan of salvation and that our loved ones really are here with us because I have felt my mother watch over me even though she had passed on and that I knew that her husband and his dad were watching over them as well and that they love us. We were both crying because we could feel the spirit so strongly. It was such a privilege to be able to bear testimony to her. There was no doubt in my mind that her and her son had not come to the Brigham Young home that morning by chance. She had told me that it was hard for her and her son that day because it was Father's Day and she was hoping that by going to all of the different sites around Nauvoo that it would lift her spirits. She is a true example of enduring to the end! It's amazing when we choose to be obedient to the promptings we get the outcomes that come are amazing and he allows us to feel the amazing spirit of helping Heavenly Fathers Children. We saw her again when we were at the visitors center, again not by chance! ;) I just thought it was really amazing to have that privilege to talk with her.

Sorry this is a really long email hahaha, but everything that happened this week was amazing! There was a quote that was on our fridge in the little George Laub home and I wanted to share it with all of you! It says "When this life is over, the questions won't be how much you have acquired, but how much you have given, not how much you have earned, but how much you have done, not how much you have saved, but how much you have shared, not how much you were honored, but how much you loved and you served your fellowmen." :) I love that! And I love all of you so much. I love my family <3 Thanks for being my friends <3 I love you all so much...  I could say that a million times... I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!!!! But Heavenly Father loves you more than anyone can ever imagine and so does the Savior Jesus Christ. That was the whole purpose He died for us was because he loved us so that we may become clean!

MWAH
Sister Chapman! :)

P.S. ITS BEEN THREE MONTHS WHAT?!?!?! I'm not a greenie as much anymore yayyyyyyy :)

Hi Everyone!!! I love you and miss you all so much! I can't believe I've almost been in the MTC for the last 4 weeks! Time really does fly by and guess what I HEAD OUT TO NAUVOO ONT TUESDAY YAY!!!!! I seriously cannot wait to go to Nauvoo. Conference in the MTC is absolutely amazing and especially as a missionary. I didn't realize how much they testified of Christ in almost every single talk that they had and they talked A LOT ABOUT FAMILIES!  It was really weird when in the middle of the prayer they prayed for the missionaries! I looked down at my nametag and I was like OH MY GOSH I GET TO WEAR JESUS CHRIST NAME ON MY TAG FOR THE NEXT 18 MONTHS WOOHOO!!!!! I think that it is absolutely extraordinary that I get to testify of Jesus Christ. I hope we always remember him throughout our day because I'm sure he thinks of each and everyone of us individually every day. Our elders left on Monday and it was an interesting day without them! It was actually very quite and study time was a lot more affective, but we sure do miss them and their funny quirks that they have. :) We had the best teachers that were full of so much energy and love for the savior Jesus Christ and his church! The spirit touches you in such a way while you're in the MTC. Maybe I'm just weird, but It's like crying tears that you've never shed before. They are the happiest and most joyful tears I have ever shed. All you have to do is mention Jesus Christ and I'll start crying hahaha!! :) We started Visitor Center Training this week and It is amazing!!! I cannot believe I have the privilege to serve in a Visitors Center! It's just amazing how everyones call is so personal and Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father know us soooo well! Like there is no accident wherever we get called to. This weeks practices are different because our purpose is still the same, but we just do it in a different way and when we study for lessons we can't really just study for one specific thing. There are tons of paintings and pictures in the MTC so we had the opportunity to walk through the MTC and give a tour to our companion. We ask the investigator (companion) what she thinks of that specific painting or what it means to her. It's interesting because you start off asking them about the painting, but we are able to focus on what they need to hear and the spirit just works wonders. Heavenly Father just seriously amazes me! Yesterday my tiredness finally caught up with me and I could feel how tired I really was. It was like a a bag of bricks just hit me and I was exhausted! The power of Prayer is a real thing though! It truly is! All I had to do was ask heavenly father for help and as soon as I told him I would work my little tale fanny off it worked. Not kidding we walked into class and like five minutes later I just had this wave of energy come over me! Heavenly Father really does answer our prayers! We just have to be humble enough to ask for his help! :) He is so gracious and so kind. We've only had two days of training and than today we get to go to the temple yay!!! Pday seriously comes so fast! It honestly blows my mind! You can do sooo much in such a short amount of time its ridiculous. Oh and tomorrow we get to go to temple square for our visior center training woohoo!!! SO EXCITED!!!!!!! Seriously I cannot express how cool Visitor Centers are LIKE FOREAL THEY ARE SO COOL!!!!!!! Oh and I got a Dr.Pepper in the Mail woohoo!! Something that will is delicious and will help me stay awake! Only four more days and we get to have real food!! the only thing is we have to go a whole different state when we get to nauvoo to go get our groceries! Now that should be interesting, but an adventure awaits!! :)))) Wish us luck! Apparently our mission president invites us over our first day and watches how we eat! How scary, but he seems like a teddy bear! I hope so :) I love my companion! She seriously can lighten anyones day up with her jokes. There was literally a time we had to have a thumb war to decide who was going to say the prayer! Prayer is beautiful :D Anyways I gotta get going! I love you all and hope you enjoyed your easter! Make sure to keep the faith and to always trust in the Savior Jesus Christ. He really does understand everything that we've been through and he will never fail us. JESUS CHRIST LIVES!!!!!! And there are so many tender mercies in our lives! We just have to open our eyes to see them :) I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU AND HOPE YOURE ALL DOING GOOD AND GOING ON FUN ADVENTURES AND YOU ARE ALL IN MY PRAYERS!! mwah :)))))
Love Sister Chapman

WEEK TWO :)

HI EVERYONE :)

All I can say is wow! Well it's weeks two and I'm here in the MTC till April 12th! The spirit is sooo strong it's amazing! On Sunday Elder Ballard came and spoke to us!!! We were able to sing Praise to the Man and all I could think of was WOW what an honor it is to be able to serve a mission in Nauvoo! Joseph Smith was a selfless man who was willing to sacrifice everything for something he knew to be true!!! There isn't to much I can expand on because honestly we just study sooo much at the MTC And eat food! The weeks fly by! The elders in our district will be leaving next tuesday and we will be left alone for a whole new week, but that is when we start are VISITOR CENTER TRAINING!!! YAYYYY!!!!! I'm soooo excited to start! Our teachers are amazing!! They are seriously just so inspired and they teach us  ALOT!!! We have these things called TRCs and that is when we teach people who may or may not be investigators! It's basically practice for the missionaries who are learning so that we don't actually mess up when we have REAL INVESTIGATORS! We had one this week named Ku-Gin She is soooo sweet! She's form Korea and I swear shes a real investigator! We finished our last visit the other day because we only had two due to general conference, but my companion and I just had to go see her one last time! I love her :) We focus all of our lessons on Jesus Christ and It is soo beautiful because I've just really come to realize that Jesus Christ makes everything possible! As missionaries we have the sacred opportunity to be part of his work! That's the thing though! This is the lords work not ours and we just have such a privilege to be part of it in this short amount of time! I seriously feel like I'm so lucky to have Jesus Christ on my nametag for 18 months!!!!! YAY!!!!! Today we went to the temple! It was so refreshing! and now we are not the new missionaries anymore yay!!!!!!!!!!! I do miss Dr. Pepper though! It's crazy how we can seriously only sleep like 6 hours and than study for 16 hours!!! It's amazing though! I hope everyone enjoys general conference and with yummies to munch on :D we have chocolate and popcorn and yummy stuff and we get to hear the prophet talk WOOHOO!!! thank you so much for all that you have done for me! You are truly all amazing and beautiful sons and daughters of god :) You are in my prayers! I love you all so myuch! Don't forget to keep the faith and rely on the savior :)
Love Sister Chapman :)))) <3

THE GOSPEL IS AMAZING!!!!!!
I cannot even comprehend how amazing the past two days in the MTC have been! The spirit is so strong and it is the absolute most intense spirit I have ever felt in my life! When I first got here, it was pretty scary, but they honestly just throw you into the work! You start learning the MINUTE you arrive! My companions name is Sister Goble and I LOVE HER!!! Shes so cute and so sweet! It's crazy how much we have in common and I know that we were definitely meant to be companions!! Sometimes I call her Sister Gobble Gobble hahaha, but only sometimes! :) My companion and I and our two other roommates are all going to Nauvoo together! On wednesday we were able to meet our teachers and the rest of our district! Our teacher Brother Pillar is so funny!!! He has such a strong testimony though! Later than night we were able to start teaching to investigators for the first time though! The spirit was so strong!!! They have been teaching us to really just LOVE THE PEOPLE! My companion and I taught our teacher who was playing an investigator "Hank" yesterday! When we were preparing for it, I felt so overwhelmed like I didn't know what to say or what to teach the people. One of the sisters who was my teacher sat down in front of me and said, Sister Chapman what two names are you wearing on your nametag? I looked down at my nametag and replied "Sister Chapman and Jesus Christ." She than responded who are you thinking about when you say that you are not good enough to teach these lessons? And then I realized I was thinking about myself and not of the Savior Jesus Christ. Because that's the trick! We really aren't the ones who are teaching.... the spirit is the one who teaches, we are just the ones who are the tool that he can use if we will be willing and if we will let him. After she told us that my companion and I went into the room where Hank was sitting and we taught that lesson. It was scary and EXTREMELY HARD, but we did it!!! The spirit radiated in that room and I could feel the love that heavenly father had for Hank, my companion and myself! The church is so true and I am so thankful and grateful to have this opportunity to serve and 18 month mission. I never knew that someone could be so exhausted and tired in just three days, BUT IT IS TOTALLY POSSIBLE TO BE THAT TIRED! It's the best type of tired though and I know that at this moment in my life I am not supposed to be anywhere else except for on this mission! Heavenly Fathers Children are so precious and so amazing!!!! I know that this gospel is true and I know that heavenly father and the savior are always watching out for us and willing to help us if we will lean on him and if we will trust him and say " Okay heavenly father you know way more than I do...now you take the lead." AHHHH THIS IS AMAZING! I HOPE EVERYONE IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD SERVES A MISSION SOME HOW!!! This gospel is amazing! I miss you all and love you, but this is so worth it!! Say your prayers and read your scriptures and love your neighbor and even the people who don't smile because heavenly father loves them all so much!!!!!!! I also feel the strange need to call everyone hermana hahahaha even though I'm in an english speaking mission... how strange :)
Adios Amigos!!!
Lots of loves, Sister Chapman :))))))))) :) :) :) :)
